Manufacturing and Operation

The hermetical welded plate exchangers are made of AISI 316 stainless steel plates joined with copper or nickel sheets and brazed at a vacuum furnace.

At the assembling, each second plate is turned 180º for the formation of two separated ducts from where two fluids in countercurrent are set out. The pressing design incites a highly turbulent flow that allows the heat transmission even with low fluids speed.

Application

The typical application of these welded plate exchangers consists in domestic and commercial uses, for heating, cooling, condensing and evaporating. They may be also used in calefaction, refrigeration, air conditioning, cooling and heating and other fluids.

Dimensioning

Specific computer programs assure the optimized dimensioning to each application.

Normal Connections

Where water is normally used as a fluid, the connections are BSP male thread type. On the side of the second fluid the connections are for welding.

Plates: AISI – 316
Welding: Copper or nickel to be used at NH3

Working Conditions

Maximum pressure: 30 bar
Maximum temperature: 195° C
Maximum power: 2000 KW
